The previews of my websites can’t be accessed without logging in (http://1f66af-5c231.preview.netzfront.com, for instance). Can anyone tell me why?
Hey @chedched
Thank you for posting this. I will ask the developers if something changed here (which I don’t think). Are you logging in via your whitelabel or via Sitejet?
Thanks Andre for the quick reply! I think I logged in via sitejet. Does it make a difference? Should one just save a website when being logged via whitelabel?
Hey there,
there is indeed a difference. When you log in with your whitelabel domain, the preview link changes. However, these can also be “public”.
Just for clarification
https://abc123-def456.whitelabel.domain or https://abc123-def456.sitejet.io/
always work without being logged in, as if it is a public website.
https://preview.whitelabel.domain or https://preview.sitejet.io
only work when logged in.
In your case, the preview should work. However, it does not, because I discovered there seems to be a redirect on your domain. Since the abc123-def456.preview is supposed to display the final version of the website, it follows the account’s domain’s rules for redirection as well.
This is actually a bug, and we will fix this soon so that the preview link does not get affected by the redirect. In your case, I would suggest the workaround to remove the redirect.
Hope this helps?
I am having this same issue, but I AM log-ed in.
