E-Mail provider downtime on Monday - investigation still pending (22/05/23)

We like to inform you about a short downtime of our mail provider “Roundcube” on Monday. The downtime was about roughly 40 minutes (13:20 - 14:00).

During that time login, as well as sending and receiving was restricted. Users, that are using the web mailer reported missing contacts, signatures and login errors.

We are in close discussion with Roundcube about the reasons and the measurements they intend to do that this will not be repeated. Also, we are awaiting further action on retrieving possible missing data.

If you are still facing issues after Monday like:

  • Login not possible
  • Missing sent emails
  • Layout settings
  • Signature is not saving
  • Contacts lost

… please contact us through the support mail stating the issues and providing us with the email address.

Of course, these issues affected users that are using a third party program like outlook or thunderbird etc. However, missing contacts, missing mails and signature should not be the issue here, as via IMAP this information is saved in the program as well.

In certain cases, users got errors that showed that the destination server is not responding. That is not an error caused by this incident. We highly recommend to first check out the settings and try to update the setup.

We strongly apologize for the inconvenience in the name of Roundcube and will get back to you with more information as soon as possible.
