SMTP Authentication Error

We were running into a problem where we were getting a “Failed to authenticate SMTP Server…” although all password and username information was correct:

What we found is that this error was being generated because there were symbols in our password and was failing on the SiteJet side.

The resolution for us was simply changing the password to be only alphanumeric.

Thank you, Warren! I will forward this to the IT to check if there are any restrictions. Would not yet call it a bug, but a “feature” :rofl:
