I’m wondering if there is a way to edit how large overlays appear on mobile. I have made a popup for a website and the popup takes up about 75% of the view height, but when I link an overlay to show up on the click of a button, it appears super small on a phone and just isn’t practical.
Pop-up example, the box grows with the content:
My goal is to get some collections to appear as overlay’s when someone clicks a “Learn More” button. I currently have everything linked and it looks great on desktop, but it just doesn’t look good on mobile. I’d like to be able to edit the overlay settings. If not, can I make an overlay preset connect to a collection and appear on the click of a button?
I recognize I may have to break up a collection listing to get each collection object to appear with the right link. I’m fine with that, I’m just wondering on the best course of action for me.
Here’s also my preview link, in case this is confusing!
Sorry for my late reply. I was on holidays the last week.
Do you still need assistance with this? If so, would you like me to take a look? What is the Website ID and where would I find the overlays on your website?
my website ID is 1206296 and the overlays are located on the “Services” page. Selecting “Learn More” under the services should pop up the overlay. Like I said, the overlay works, I’d just like to make the sizing much bigger for mobile.
So basically, you build a collection listing and instead of opening the collection item in the tab it is set to be opened in an overlay. The situation here is, that this is not as intended and only via custom css you can alter the size of the overlay.
The more usable way would be to let the collection item be opened in the same tab… or new tab, as you wish.
The reason from my side would be that you build such a great collection item that you actually want to show off in full.
If that is not intended, I would actually go a different way, away from the collection. But I think it would look much better, if you got the info under “learn more” on full page.
