[SOLVED] Galleries that use overlays cannot open images if "Enlarge on click" is selected

I am not sure if this is a bug or not, I am using sitejet builder in plesk environment. I am trying to build a simple website to expose some image galleries. I have created one project using the Estilo template that fits my needs. When I create an overlay image gallery as those in the original template I get the overlaid container of the gallery as an overlay lightbox. This is ok. But I need as a next move to open the gallery images as a sequence. So I have enabled the select box " Enlarge on click". But after that, even if the images are clickable, even if right click can open images in a new browser tab, the main click in the image will show nothing but an empty container, second click on the empty container will disable the overlay and bring back the main site. Is this a bug or this has to do with custom code? I am not familiar with coding, so I hope there is a workaround… The purpose is to use “visit the collection” button to open the gallery and then open each individual image in sequence as it supposed to be. Galleries that do not use overlay work ok by clicking their images. So there should be an overlay in an overlay issue there (nested overlay?). Can this be solved? I also would like to note that filtered gallery has a single image lightbox and not sequential (this would be preferred on most cases in my opinion). Regards

Hey there

I like to take a look and see if I can reproduce this and understand it correctly.

Please log into the Website Builder and copy me the six-digit Website ID here as well as a screenshot and the location of where you are trying to achieve this.

Support guided me to use collections instead of standalone gallery overlays. There is indeed a nested overlay issue here and it does not work as it is, if this could be resolved in the future could create a way for a very quick gallery component though. But collections are more powerful and can create an organized multi gallery environment, so content galleries should be designed this way. There are some styling issues, gallery presets are not possible in collections so galleries have to styled in a strict way or I guess you have to write a bit of custom code for those fancy grids. Thanks for suggesting collections, now content organization is possible, and this is more important.

Just a note to my previous comment, galleries as collections can use presets, but is it not as straight foreword, because sometimes you can not just drag an drop components in collection. But a drag to a different position and copy paste can. Have seen it working in the tutorial video so I tried alternative ways to add it in the right position, now it can open the images : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOZqqEeYg-c
