I'd like to setup DKIM

Hey there,

I’d love to setup DKIM, DMARC etc.

DKIM is not present as an option at the moment?

Hoping Sitejet will support DKIM too soon.

Hi @Poy_TB,

thanks for reaching out with your request.

You can already set up DMARC entries in the DNS settings of your domain, but DKIM is not possible at the moment.

Thank you. yes. I think most of us know that DMARC is available.

DKIM is the main feature request for this post. please
Looking forward to it when you guys can implement it.

+1 for DKIM
Without this, sitejet functionalities in terms of domain/email management cannot be considered a good fit for any professional emailing work geared towards paying customers. Even small and local businesses could benefit from DKIM features as soon as they have to send newsletters…

Keep up the good work team !

+1 DKIM is vital to stop your company from ending up on spam lists and to prevent spoofing.
Also, it’s needed for using proper email marketing & marketing automation solutions.

@Franzi @Andre any news on this? I have clients reporting their mails going spam folders of the addressees and asking me to set-up SPF, DKIM, DMARC. I saw Franzi’s reaction that DKIM is not possible but DMARC is already possible, but if I am not mistaken (and I am not at all a specialist), setting up SPF/DMARC without DKIM could result in even more mails going into spam-folders, so does not seem to be a good idea?

Hey there,

we had a discussion about this matter in our last meeting and I like to comment on this matter here: Currently, implementing the possibility to set DKIM is not on our roadmap, and we do not plan to implement it.

We do offer mail features, but special features like these are not our core focus in Sitejet and in general at the moment. Of course, you never know what the future brings, so we do not completely put this off the table. Just now, the focus and the roadmap do go into another direction. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you need to set these records, we highly recommend using an additional service for setting up the mail structure until we implemented this feature.

In regard to what @Mark_Fosseprez reports: Did you send us a mail about this issue before or is this a new issue? If so, please let us check the setup and try to assist you with this matter. Maybe it is possible to resolve this with a workaround. Would that be okay?

Hi André,
thnaks for your reply - this is a new issue: mails of 1 of my clients were reported to go into spam folder at destination side. The addressee contacted my client and told him that his email settings were not correct (referring to SPF/DMARC/DKIM as necessary to avoid mails going into spam folders). So this does not concern marketing mails, just operational mails sent by my client form the mailboxes set-up in Sitejet.
If you have any workarounds, I will certainly be happy to take a look.
kind regards
Mark

Hey @Mark_Fosseprez - okay. Could you send us a ticket with the necessary information? We like to assist!

ok thanks Andre

Okay - so if I wanted to add a custom email to my CRM . I would need to Add a couple of TXT records to my Sitejet DNS record. One for SPF and another for DKIM - Are you saying the DKIM won’t work that way??

If yes, why can’t we have this added already? Almost everything has a chance of landing in spam folder these days without DKIM…

+1 on DKIM.

I feel DKIM is important. If not, at least provide clear instructions on setting up 3rd party tools and a toggle option to completely hide EMAIL in this interface so our own team members aren’t confused and this we are configuring email for clients here.
