Domain is suspended

My customer’s site says the domain is suspended, I am getting this message:

This is in regards to site ID: website/1091518

Note: I never got a verification email, and when I request for a new one I still don’t get one. What email is it trying to send to?

Hey there,

If this is related to pw-glass then this is sent to a personal gmail address. In this case, I highly recommend to check the spam. Gmail does not block these mails per se but frequently puts them in the spam folder.

If you still do not find this, please send us a support ticket with the link to this thread. We might need to then update your handle and trigger a new verification.

Thanks Andre, the domain verification email was sent to the customer’s personal email, not their business email, so they did not see it until I had them check again. The domain has since been verified and the site is back up. Next time I’ll know this verification email is important and have the customer look for it. Lesson learned!

Thanks for the confirmation.

I usually recommend a design agency to have a dedicated mail address for these situations. I would always communicate with the client that this is a good solution so they do not have to worry and everybody saves a lot of confusion and talk about this

Hope this helps.

I think that’s a good idea too but have always heard the domain should be with the client’s email for legal reasons.

Well, you could set up one domain and give each client their dedicated mail address.

I usually make a contract and discuss this with the client. Since it is their domain with them being set up in the OWNER HANDLE, the only difference would be the mail address. But legally (I suppose) the ownership of the domain of course is still with the client in any way.

But surely, if you are unsure, check again with a lawyer. I had never any issues with this setup even with clients that were … let’s say… difficult.

Thanks Andre, I appreciate the insight!
