Cpanel not populating images during publish

Subject says it all.

Sitejet is no longer publishing my images.

The images directory is empty. I’ve tried touching images, replacing images - nothing works.

Log file shows:

I entered a request 95930265 - and also one on cpanel which doesn’t seem to even want to acknowledge they have sitejet has an add-on.

To be able to post on this community I needed to create a trial account for sitejet - that goes away in a few days at which point I’ll create another.

I’ve tried duplicating pages, including images on ‘hidden’ pages, moving an image - nothing.

DUCKS-5139 is being tracked

we are having the same problem. images not showing after publish

I am having the same problem.

I also reported it to cpanel but they were unable to offer any assistance.

Hello, same problem, after publishing my website no more images available.

Restore does not work neither, previous versions are also without images.

Please help

from a cpanel post - this has been resolved on sitejet’s side:

The SiteJet team has just released a hotfix for this issue, which can be seen in the changelogs here:

Hey there,

During the weekend, cPanel implemented a hotfix for the publishing issue with assets like images. It seems there was a bug from cPanel not picking up all files from our servers.

Would you be able to republish and check if this issue still occurs?

Hello,

I have the exact same issue. I’ve read the above and unfortunately I don’t understand what to do.

My website is hosted by a UK company Cloudtree, they have Site Jet builder built within their platform, I can’t update CPanel as it is on their server, they are refusing to update Cpanel for at least 4 weeks. I’m left with a non functioning website.

I’ve tried backing up to website builds from 2-3 months ago and the same issue is happening, as people above have said, images just don’t load. I don’t know anything about adding code or anything tech like that, please help with some suggestions on what I can do as having a non functioning website is effecting my work.

Many thanks

Ben

cPanel is currently working on another fix for this issue.

You may however test removing the images assets from your server and then go to the Website Builder, make a change, save and re-publish a few times. This can and did solve the issue for some users. If not, we hope to get a quick fix from cPanel soon.

Please refrain from double posting in several threads with the same text. Thank you.

Hi Andre, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I appreciate that.

When you say delete images from the server.

My website is hosted by a company in the uk called cloud tree, I’m assuming I need to ask them to delete the images from their server? Then once they’ve done that, i need to re upload my site and images etc? Is that correct? They host my website, they have jet site builder built into their system, hence I can’t update c panel, as they have the application and they are refusing to update c panel for at least 2 weeks if not a month or more, all the while my website is broken and I’m loosing work.

Does that make sense? Sorry if these seem like obvious questions, web design and servers etc is really not my area of expertise.

Many thanks

Ben

Hey Ben,

So apparently your issue could have been connected to the recent situation with a cPanel fix.

They have reverted the fix and you should now be able to properly publish your website.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for keeping me updated.

I just logged in, something strange happened to start with,

I loaded a back up, from my recent edit,

it backed up, though it backed up to the very first version I created months ago, basically no web site.

I then did another back up date a few weeks prior to the above, the same happened.

I chose a different back up date, in between these two dates (above) and it seems to have loaded correctly now. I have yet to test it out on multiple devices, and the back up thing above seemed very strange. But at least I think I have some semblance of a working website now. Fingers crossed.

And thank you for you help to date with this, much appreciated.

Ben
