cPanel | — does Sitejet.io publish only changes?

Hey Sitejet community! On shared cPanel, my current builder re-uploads the entire site on every publish (~40 pages, ~12 live) and I hit timeouts. Before switching, how does Sitejet.io handle publishing changes?

  • Incremental/partial publish (only changed pages/assets)?

  • Ability to exclude drafts/samples from publish?

  • Direct FTP/SFTP with diff/sync (not full re-upload)?

  • Any publish logs/queue to see what was updated?

  • Staging → Production: can I publish only selected pages/changes?

Thanks!

Hey there,

Please bear in mind that cPanel is separate from sitejet.io

When you publish via cPanel, all files, except the images are getting re-published. If you do have an issue there, you need to contact your hoster or cPanel directly. They can check for any issues as they handle the export from our to their servers.

In Sitejet.io everything is handled on our servers - only the changes are being changed upon “publishing”. Basiscally, the save button means the changes take effect immediately.

There is no feature yet to “not publish” a change. There are workarounds, though like setting a subpage to “no index” for example.

We do have a feature request for staging / production: Website staging environment / Save Without Publishing

Since you do not have access to the files on the server, you do not have any sort of logs, queue etc.

Hope this helps?
