cPanel | Most common contact form issues

:large_blue_diamond: Hey there cPanel Sitejetters :slightly_smiling_face:

In the past months, questions about the contact form have been quite dominant in this community. The most common issues were a failed form submission and a Captcha image, that does not appear.

To ensure the form submissions are successful, please make sure, that the contact form is working at all.

  • Please enable the “send email” feature in the contact form.
  • Fill in a recipient address. Make sure, that it is an actual working mail address.
  • Open the Preview Link and send yourself a form submission. Now, you are sending you a message from noreply@sitehub.io.

When this is working, the contact form is fine. Now you might want to focus on your server settings. Solutions could be:

  • enable allow_url_fopen
  • ensure PHP version is PHP 7.1 or higher; PHP 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 or higher
  • ensure latest Sitejet version is installed
  • check general SMTP settings
