Cookie Bar only at the homepage?

Dear SiteJet,

I have a cookie bar on the homepage. If I ignore the bar and click on a “blog” subpage, the bar should appear there again, right?

I had the opinion that if you placed the cookie bar once on the start page, it would also appear automatically on other pages. For example, when somebody joins a subpage via Google.

Why not this time? Does somebody has any idea?

https://www.centrohenrichenburg.de (cookie bar appears)
Blog - Gesundheits- und Wellnesszentrum (no cookie bar)

I also was under the impression that it triggered on all pages …

Hi @Frank_Joerns,

you need the Cookie Bar on every page of your website, because visitors can reach your website directly on a subpage, when they have the link. Once the visitor accepted the cookies, the Cookie Bar will not appear on the other sites of your website, until the cookie time to live (TTL) is over.

You can select your Cookie Bar and copy it [ctrl] + [c] and paste it as a reference [shift] + [ctrl] + [v] on your subpages. In case you paste it somewhere you don’t want, you can move the selected Preset/Container while holding [ctrl] + [↑] or [↓].

Thanks a lot!

I was of the opinion that the cookie bar only needs to be placed on the home page and then appears everywhere as long as it has not been answered.

That this is not the case is an important indication! Thanks!

wait…you can paste a reference from just a copy?

@Martin How long until you were gonna tell me that??

I’ve been making reference, then cutting/pasting it for so long! Haha

I usually put it into the footer, which is already referenced onto all subpages, so I don’t have to take care of referencing it everywhere.

That is a good idea! Thats may be the reason why I thought it would happen automatically.
