Hi,
I’m currently working with the translation feature in Sitejet, and I’m running into several issues that are slowing down my workflow significantly.
When I use the AI translation (for example, translating from Dutch to Polish), the system creates new pages. However, after translation, I notice that:
-
Navigation menus stop working correctly on other pages
-
Internal links are automatically changed into incorrect or broken URLs
-
I have to manually fix links across multiple pages
This results in a lot of extra manual work, which defeats the purpose of using the translation feature.
Additionally, I have another concern regarding workflow:
When I update content on the original (Dutch) page, these changes are not reflected on the translated versions (English or Polish). This means I have to manually update each language version every time, which is not efficient.
My questions are:
-
Is this the expected behavior of the translation feature, or is something going wrong?
-
Is there a way to keep pages linked so that structural or content updates can be synchronized across languages?
-
Do you have a recommended workflow to avoid broken links and duplicated manual work when working with multiple languages?
I would really appreciate some clarification or best practices, as I use Sitejet frequently for client projects and need a more reliable multilingual workflow.
Thanks in advance.
