I just popped onto my website on my mobile phone this morning and found out that the navigation menu is unusable because the three lines are brown on a brown header, and when you pop open the menu it’s white text on a white background?
I’ve searched all over the sitejet builder and tried googling but can’t for the life of me find out where the settings are for this menu?
It also seems to add, remove, and change my layout around (move pictures, add in filler text, mess up things) after I’ve clicked publish :/. And half the site doesn’t show on mobile view which I don’t understand why. Is this normal? I just changed over from wordpress because very recently it started taking forever to load my site and I’m worried I’ve sunk a lot of time into this builder for nothing.
Thanks for reaching out. To be brief: Nope, that is not normal It could be related to settings and customizations that are not working responsively maybe. Or some design choices that get overwritten by others.
Could you do me the favor and post me the Website ID and for each situation, please provide us some screenshots.
I think the menu button being brown on brown backer is a design choice but I can’t figure out the menu at all. Have included mobile screenshots.
I’m using Firefox to edit, I do have chrome to try but admittedly didn’t think to give that a go. I know safari on iPad doesn’t work well either.
Overall I am hoping I can make it work because I do love the template. I think it’s great for what I needed. But I do send people from Instagram so it has to work on mobile :(.
It would also be great, although not essential, to know why I get bonuses when I save? . I just get random things, like a text box with lorem ipsum on my commission page, or it added a black arrow to my front page last time, and the time before that I think it pulled three images out of a small container and scattered them on my page .
it seems you are using Sitejet with cPanel or Plesk via a provider, right? Then I can not find the website in our system. So, the best would be to log into the Website Builder. The URL then has a number - six or seven digits. That number is the ID with which I can check your website in the builder
Oh but I love the artwork and design on the website!
Oh thanks I honestly really like what I’ve been able to put together with the layout, I did like my wordpress site but I feel like this is easier to make it accessible to people. Lol. Well, at least once I manage to draft down my message a bit as well and refine things .
What are exactly the changes you are experiencing? Could you point me to one or two presets / elements that I can compare? Also, which half does not show… do you have a screenshot for me?
Oh god I knew it must be there somewhere! And that it was probably very obvious . But no I completely missed the little tiny menu styling piece in the top bar when I was hovering around looking. I’ve got it all edited now thank you very much.
As for the other changes… I just find random things popping up? Um. It’s not really an issue now that the menu is fixed but I find it weird.
Like, I will edit my site, make it look exactly how I want, perfect - save it, upload it. And when I check it in the browser there is an extra, empty container somewhere.
Or a button saying ‘add text here’. Or just some very random element that I absolutely know I didn’t put there. Everything seems to be okay there for the moment so no idea what happens.
Just one more thing, is there any way to get the blog working on mobile? I did try save it in 4 columns instead of 3 thinking it might be too big but it doesn’t seem to want to save that setting when I publish it for whatever reason, and there is just a blank spot on my web site on mobile screens. If that’s a major it’s not an issue, but it would be nice to get it working if it’s just a small thing :).
Ahhhh… I know that feeling. Imagine me sitting in support and helping and then have the same train of thought… “where … why… ah there it is!” haha.
Anyway… so, you actually should only get what you actually set up and did on the website. If there is something else on the website, then something is definitely wrong. Since you are using cPanel and you actively need to publish the site, that could be the process which is corrupted.
So, the best would be to a) make as many screenshots and screencasts to find and target these errors and then b) get in touch with us via mail to open a new ticket. We might not be able to investigate this ourselves fully, but we can get in touch with a cPanel dev to see if there is anything happening during the publishing process.
Please also include this link to the thread and your Website ID, of course
Regarding any repsonsive issue: In general, all presets and elements are responsive. Unless you temper and play around with settings and set values that might not work on mobile, everything should be fine.
Hm… can you send a screenshot how it displays for you?
(Just a side note: For each different topic there should usually be a separate thread - just so you know for the future. Its easier to sort and help).

I have a 10 month old baby and i’m also sleeping 3 hours a night haha so my finding skills probably aren’t that much on point right now!
No worries! I will actually start a new thread for the blog thing and get screenshots and everything :). Also frustration and time to fix things are at 100 compared to usual :(.
Thank you so much for your help, it made it SO much easier.
