This is probably very simple, but I found no obvious way to add more steps to the timeline element.

Thanks, Andre, it was as I thought a simple solution 
But I didn’t think of duplicating the container.

I do agree it could be more intuitive - maybe through the preset panel. But great that it works now!
Yes, I was looking for a place where I could choose the number of steps. So that would have been a good feature.
Another thing you might consider developing is a timeline that runs horizontally. So that you scroll sideways to see more steps. I think it can work better on mobile because then you can switch between a step above and below the timeline. This is a feature I like in the timeline you have now where the steps are to the right and left of the timeline, but on mobile, all the steps are to the right of the timeline.
