I am currently working on a project where a client wishes to upload a .htaccess file to the website’s directory structure. Upon researching, I discovered that Sitejet’s native platform does not support direct access to the .htaccess file.
However, I have come across information suggesting that integrating Sitejet with cPanel might offer a solution. Specifically, I learned that Sitejet Builder is integrated into cPanel, allowing users to create and manage websites directly within the cPanel environment.
Given this, I have a couple of questions:
Is it possible to integrate Sitejet with cPanel to facilitate the management of .htaccess files? If so, could someone provide guidance or resources on how to achieve this integration?
Regarding hosting providers like Hoasted.com that offer cPanel or WHM accounts, is there a way to link these accounts with Sitejet to enable .htaccess file management? Are there specific steps or configurations required to set up this integration effectively?
I appreciate any insights or experiences the community can share on this matter.
You are correct. Sitejet Studio does not offer access to the server files and therefore does not offer what you need.
You are also correct, since last year we are integrated in cPanel. So, any hoster that offers this, gives you the opportunity to use Sitejet on your panel and also let’s you access the server files.
There is no native “transfer” feature that you can do other than the “Copy and Share feature” … But (!) when you build a site through cPanel + Sitejet, the files are on our servers before they get published. . That means, that theoretically (!), I could transfer your current site or any site you build in Sitejet Studio onto your cPanel + Sitejet account.
I will have to check with our CTO if there are any restrictions. In rare cases and emergencies the transfer is free. In this case, it would not be free unfortunately. So, additional costs would apply.
Please make sure, if you decide to use cPanel through a partner, that they offer Sitejet and also do tend to do so in the future. You can also contact cPanel directly and ask for more possible partners, if you need a selection.
Once you are set up, please contact us through the ticket system for future details about the transfer
