Hello, my name is Aubrey and I am a Wordpress web developer. I run a small agency with about 70 clients. I am taking the leap into SiteJet and web-builders, which I swore I never would, for the first time. While me and my partner know our way around WP pretty well, it will take some time to get up to speed for client builds.
I will probably need to rely on a freelancer at first, and if my new business model flourishes, for the foreseeable future.
I’m trying to get an idea what it will cost to have a simple 4-5 page site built with some simple functionality like: booking, events, ticketing. Hours and hourly rates or a ballpark estimate.
It would be nice if there was a master list of proven or preferred open-source or low cost apps that are recommended on this platform.
Thanks in advance … I’ve become so used to plugins, it feels like my first day again, I’m a little nervous and excited!
Expanding your business is exciting and testing out new tools as well! Since you are able to cope with Wordpress I don’t see any big issues with getting to be a Sitejetter pro quickly as well
Love to be honest and direct here and unbiased - we do have a lot of Sitejetters from other platforms that moved completely or widened their portfolio and improved their workflow by adding a second builder for specific sites While Wordpress has its great advantages, there surely are some clients that are suited better with Sitejet.
From my own experience and at first though I would point out the Customer Portal and the Project Manager to work in the team and with clients.
I can not speak for other Sitejetters here and their rates - so I recommend to get in touch with the ones responding here under the collaborations threads.
Sitejet does not have the plugins you might be used to from Wordpress though.
Regarding the features you like to implement: Sitejet does offer an integration called Elfsight, that might have some widgets that you are seeking. Also (as an example) CommonNinja offers some tailored integrations (Free, Fully Customizable Integrations for SiteJet | Common Ninja) as well.
However, you can surely integrate most tools into Sitejet. Depending on how they are functioning, the handling might differ. But generally speaking, this article might give you a quick overview:
Just a heads up - we are going to release our own booking widget this year as well. And tickets can probably be sold via the Commerce feature as well.
Events can be easily displayed by our Collection feature. Once you get the feel for it, it is quite easy to create powerful collections to display events or other dynamic collections of data on your website.
