Animated gradient backgrounds and text

to help amateurs like me, would it be possible to add a animated gradient facility, just by moving sliders and adding colours such as in the example at the above link ? for use to add animated gradients to backgrounds and to text ?

great, please note option for animated or static colour gradients would be best ( for text blocks or backgrounds )…tx
