Add the possibility to exclude pages/collection item pages from sitemap.xml

Hi! Currently there is no way to exclude from sitemap.xml specific pages or collection items generated pages.
The problem is that I might have a blog, and some blog posts (even if I create a status field) that I’m still working on them (so they are in “draft” mode) they are still appearing in the sitemap.xml
The same problem is for normal pages.

As a minimal implementation, can we add a global option in Website settings → SEO / META (tab) to exclude specific urls from sitemap.xml ?

P.S. I know that you can add excludes in robots.txt but this can be easily ignored, and the links are still visible in sitemap.xml

    This is a must for best SEO practice otherwise Google will waste the crawl budget and devalue the website.

We should be able to have a draft page for work in progress before publishing it, thus having it in the sitemap.

Can you give us some hope and update if you’re working on this?

Surely there are workarounds available too…

E.G can we be allowed to 301 sitemap.xml page to a custom url like site-map.xml, and allow us to upload a customed xml sitemap there ourselves?

You can actually upload a sitemap already for a long time :slight_smile:

Excluding collection items manually is not part of it.

Hey Andre, I don’t see any reference on the page to upload sitemaps to Sitejet. Forgive me if I’ve missed something.
