Hello, we have a client who wants to add an eCommerce shop to her website that was built on SiteJet via cPanel. Since the cPanel version doesn’t offer a shop option (why?), we need to move her website from SiteJet cPanel to SiteJet Studio.
Has anyone ever done this? Can it be done? And most importantly, is it wise?
So the Commerce feature currently is not available for all panel users. That is not our decision. Every cPanel partner can have it activated but a few do not want that or for other reasons.
So, you can of course switch over to Sitejet Studio.
You can also implement Ecwid (which is our partner for the Commerce feature) as a third party shop. But then, you have a few differences to the integrated Commerce feature. But it will still work fine.
If you still want to transfer to Sitejet Studio, you are very much welcome. For this, what we can offer is either the Copy and Share feature or we can check for a manual transfer. But for the latter, you would have to contact me via our support ticket system, please.
