# Container inner distance

Hello, I’m glad to be here. I’m new to this forum and I have a question about the distance between the containers.  
I can’t reduce it. What should I do?

Hello Christer\_Haeberli,

that could be different things, it’s a bit difficult to understand from the picture.

By default, containers have a global “vertical padding” which is set under Design \> Layout (see image)

If you want to change the spacing for an individual container (not globally), simply click on the “custom spacing” button.

Or does your container have a height value that is too high?
